Two Men Formally Indicted for Prison Murder of Former Lostprophets Frontman Ian Watkins
Two individuals now face murder charges following the incarceration fatality of former Lostprophets singer and convicted child sex offender Ian Watkins.
Samuel Dodsworth, 43, and Rashid Gedel, 25 now face murder accusations and will appear before Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, according to law enforcement officials.
Watkins, 48, was serving a 29-year sentence at HMP Wakefield, plus an additional six years on license, after confessing to numerous sex crimes among them the attempted rape of a baby.
Watkins was apprehended subsequent to a narcotics search warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a large number of computers, mobile phones and storage devices were confiscated.
