Skydance Paramount Will Eliminate Around 2,000 US Jobs – Update
Skydance Paramount plans to start large-scale job cuts the week of 27 October, cutting about 2,000 American roles as part of a budget-saving initiative valued at $2bn led by new chief executive David Ellison.
The layoffs come after the union between Skydance Media and Paramount Global, completed this past August worth $8.4bn.
Additional international job cuts are expected, as the firm aiming to reveal all specifics via its third quarter earnings report set for the 10th of November.
Prior news stated that Paramount aimed to cut from 2,000 and 3,000 positions by early November.
By December 2024, the company employed almost 18,600 workers on full-time and part-time contracts and 3,500 temporary project employees.
The organization has not provided a response on the matter.
